What truck size should I order?

That really depends on the size of your household and also the location of your move in Vancouver. Sometimes for areas like the West End, Kitsilano, Yaletown and Gaztown a 5 ton truck is too big regardless of the amount of furniture you have. 1 ton trucks are usually the preferred choice for these Vancouver urban areas. Additionally if the location between point A and point B is relatively short, doing 2 loads usually isn’t much of a problem. 5 ton trucks are ideal for homes in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Surrey ECT… Cargo vans are sufficient for deliveries and very, very small moves. Bachelor suites usually require a 1 ton truck.

How many movers should I order?

As general rule 2 movers are enough for bachelor suites, 1-2 bedroom condos, apartments or townhouses. For anything above that including 2 bedroom single family houses 3 men is recommended. For office moves please contact us for details.

Billing by the hour or flat rate

Billing by the hour is the recommended option for most Vancouver residential moves. While some clients might think that the movers will take their time and make the move slower that is simply usually not the case. Movers work at a pace that is both efficient and safe for your furnishings. If they work too fast under pressure some accidents might happen and the quality of the move can go down. However, for Vancouver commercial moves sometimes the flat rate billing is the best option because of furniture and peripherals disassembling and assembling.
